Our son and daughter-in -law spent time on the coast of the Bering Sea teaching the local Eskimos on subjects from English to kayak building. While there, they ran into a Yupic Eskimo woman named Chuki. I loved the name and the stories of fishing and sealing. Thus the sculpture. Like all of us, the simple things in life are really what is important and it is, I believe, that which should be appreciated with reference.
